2.1 Use of ICT by children
3rd & 4th classes integrated the use of ICT into SESE projects this year by using iPad apps such as iMovies to create digital projects of themes covered in class. These digital projects complimented the hard copies they created for classroom display. To create the digital projects the children had to first download and save images, then open the iMovies app and edit this to create their own project which they then exported and saved to their device. Next they logged into their own Seesaw account and had to upload and publish their work to this platform where it was then added to the class Seesaw blog by Mr Damien. Here are some examples:

Using ICT in history |
In 5th class we researched Tom Crean and many students presented the information on PowerPoint
Use of Seesaw in First Class
We used Seesaw to record our results from an experiment on tin foil boats. The children designed and made tin foil boats. Next they predicted how many coins the boat would hold before it sank. They carried out a fair test and recorded their results and uploaded some photos and their predictions to Seesaw .
